Wanted profile
- DEC in network/system administration or equivalent;
- 5 to 8 years' experience in administering OnPrem and OnCloud systems;
- Very good knowledge of server environments;
- Very good knowledge of AD, VMware and backup systems;
- A good knowledge of virtualisation and storage environments;
- Knowledge of Linux, SQL, Oracle, PowerVM, CI/CD, kubernetes and Docker is an asset;
Context
Anywr is recruiting a Level 2 System Administrator for one of its clients in Quebec City, to join a great team of administrators reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, Operations and Security. As a member of this team your main role will be to administer the company's IT systems and ensure that they run smoothly.
Mission
- Administering OnPrem and OnCloud systems and data centres;
- Administer and manage server solutions, including OS, AD, VM, PaaS, SaaS, AAD, FTP, etc;
- Implementing IT and software solutions tailored to the company's needs;
- Participating in the continuous updating of environments and systems;
- Contributing to the administration of virtualisation and storage environments;
- Taking an active part in resolving system problems;
- Collaborating on projects to integrate new solutions;
- Assisting other teams in solving technical problems;
- Manage various business systems;
- Monitor and react to system alerts;
- Server room management, including UPS, electricity, air conditioning, alarms, etc;
- Participating in the development and drafting of operational procedures;
- Contribute to strategic orientations and advise on emerging technologies;
- Create and maintain scripts as needed to automate processes;
- Rotating on-call duty in the evenings and at weekends;
- Undertake all other related tasks associated with the role
