You have a degree to 5 years' higher education, such as a technical degree in fluids, BTS or DUT in climate, electrical or electrical engineering, or any other diploma and/or studies in the building industry. at least 10 years' experience in a similar role in a building design office all trades, position involving team management .

You have proven BIM knowledge and building structure modelling, on projects worth over €50m.

La perfect command of REVIT, NAVISWORKS software is essential.

Working English would be a real asset (ability to hold a conversation/lead a meeting in English).

Mastery of all aspects of MEP is essential.

Context

As part of its expansion in France, our client is looking for a Design Office Manager. You You will be working with clients in a variety of sectors (housing, the service sector, industry, hospital laboratories) on the design and implementation of building and infrastructure projects in France, Belgium and Canada. This is a new position. . The position is located in Lesquin (59) with 2 days of teleworking per week.



Mission

Your main role will be to manage the design office team (comprising 6 members of staff, including an apprentice), ensure the sound financial management of operations (areas for improvement, timetable, compliance with costs and deadlines, etc.), monitor the modelling of digital mock-ups, and play an active part in defining and carrying out large-scale projects.


Your activities :

  • Manage your team: define their objectives, provide them with technical and methodological support, and assist them in terms of development, skills enhancement and training,
  • Plan and allocate projects according to each person's level of expertise and workload,
  • Coordinating and monitoring the progress of projects by managing the workload schedule on a day-to-day basis (selection, timing, sizing, pooling of skills, etc.),
  • Understand and follow up the requests expressed by our customers by talking to the key people involved in the project: project managers, contractors, architects and all those likely to be involved in the project, in order to understand all expectations,
  • Analysing the need for each project on the basis of technical, functional, deadline and budget criteria, and studying the feasibility of projects in conjunction with the Operations Director, by analysing and processing the specifications and establishing costs upstream of projects,
  • Ensuring that digital mock-ups are produced using REVIT (studies, design plans, execution, completed works files, operation and deconstruction),
  • Produce technical specifications and estimates for each design phase, taking account of the project's constraints,
  • Participating in defining the dimensions and layout of structures,
  • Ensuring the reliability of the plans, taking into account the standards of our sector (construction),
  • Updating and/or making changes to existing digital mock-ups,
  • Respecter les plannings,
  • Taking part in progress and coordination meetings,
  • Developing tools to guarantee the efficiency and productivity of modelling,
  • Keeping a technical watch on the most innovative construction methods (e.g. operational BIM).


Occasional travel: some site visits may take place (around 3 to 4 per month, mainly in the Hauts-de-France region, but also in Belgium and the Paris region).

Contacts will be made mainly by telephone, e-mail or videoconference with the other design offices, the prime contractor and all stakeholders likely to be involved in the project.

Fixed salary: depending on your experience

Variable :

  • 3-5% per case brought in
  • Bonus on results of current operations
  • 500 per co-option after trial period
